Colorado Mountains Endurance Rides

Sanctioned by the American Endurance Ride Conference (AERC)
and the Mountain Region Endurance Riders (MRER)

Mountain Mettle are endurance rides sanctioned by both the American Endurance Ride Conference (AERC) and the Mountain Region Endurance Riders (MRER). They are held in the center of Colorado’s Front Range, easily accessed by riders from Wyoming, Nebraska, Kansas, New Mexico and Utah.

Distance riders have an opportunity to compete in either a 50 mile (or 100 mile in 2011) endurance ride or a shorter Limited Distance 25 mile ride. All skill levels of horse and rider teams, from novice to national and international competitors will find these rides to be challenging yet achievable. The Mountain Mettle rides are the ultimate trail riding and horse camping experience with remote, well marked mountain trails. An experienced ride manager and seasoned endurance veterinarians enhance the events.

The ride will start near Buffalo Creek in the Pike National Forest on Saturday and Sunday, August 7-8. Rider check-in starts Friday, August 6. The number of riders is limited to 75 and the number of trailers to 50. Sign up early so you won't be disappointed if the ride is fully subscribed.
