Directions from Base Camp to the Miller Gulch Trail Head “Out” Vet Checks:

From Base Camp turn left (North) onto Highway 126. Follow Highway 126 approximately 10 miles to Pine Junction. At the stoplight turn left (West) onto Highway 285 continue to Bailey. At the bottom of the long hill as you go into the town of Bailey, turn left (South) onto Highway 68. The pavement will turn into a gravel road after about a mile, continue for about four miles and turn left at a “Y” onto Forest Road 549 (Park County Road 70). Follow Road 549 about two miles and stay left at another “Y” which is Forest Road 553. After about a quarter of a mile turn right (East) onto the road into the Miller Gulch Trail Head.

The drive from camp to the vet check is about 29 miles and will take about 45 minutes.

** We highly recommend not taking your trailer to the vet check. We will provide one for any pulled horses. We will provide water, beet pulp, weed free hay, apples, and carrots for the horses and water to refill bottles for the riders.
