Mountain Mettle are endurance rides sanctioned by both the American Endurance Ride Conference (AERC) and the Mountain Region Endurance Riders (MRER). They are held in the center of Colorado’s Front Range, easily accessable by riders from Wyoming, Nebraska, Kansas, New Mexico and Utah.
GREAT NEWS: We have, for 2011, a confirmed ride on June 18 for either a 30 mile or 50 mile ride from Sharptail to Indian Creek and return via different trails.
Unfortunately we will not have an August ride this year.
The June 18, 2011 distance riders have an opportunity to compete in either a 50 mile endurance ride or a shorter Limited Distance 30 mile ride. All skill levels of horse and rider teams, from novice to national and international competitors will find these rides to be challenging yet achievable. The Mountain Mettle rides are the ultimate trail riding and horse camping experience with remote, well marked mountain trails. An experienced ride manager and seasoned endurance veterinarians enhance the events. Register early since the ride is limited to 75 riders.
